What to Expect at the Conference

 

 

The doors will be open at 8:30AM-9:15AM for registration.  For those pre-registering online, you will be charged $5 at the conference. Complimentary coffee and tea will provided.  

 

Those who do not pre-register online, will be charged $10. Pleas be prepared to pay by cash. 

 

We ask that you not register, unless you are comitted to attending, so that you do not take the spot of a person that really desires to attend the conference.

 

The costs of the conference are being kept low intentionally so families that would like to participate, are able to do so without financial hardships.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

Some of our homeschooling families will be selling products like books, food and other personal items.

Co-ops and Social Groups

We have invited a number of co-ops and homeschool social groups from Westchester and Fairfield county.  You will get to meet and talk with the founders, and families that participate in the programs.  Some will even have sign-up sheets, so you can join.

Is this a Christian only event?

No, it is not.  Christians and non Christians are welcomed.

 

Is this event for homeschoolers only?

No, we encourage those who are thinking of homeschooling, and extended family members of current homeschoolers to come and be educated.   

 

Is there a benefit to bringing my teenager?

Yes, your teenager may find a few of the sessions interesting and there may be a social group that he/she would like to learn more about.  Registration is required, but the fee is waived for all children.

Will there be food?

Yes, you will be able to buy light refreshments and snacks.  All of the proceeds will go to Wells of Joy and BLOOM.

 

What should I bring?

Bring a notebook for taking notes and cash for snacks.
